On March 28, 2022, Chuhada (Thailand) Co., Ltd. signed an MOU with Walailak University to fund research on the effects of black candle oil. The project received a 500,000 THB research grant. The focus of the research is on its antioxidant properties, cancer prevention, and its ability to prevent stomach ulcers. The research is being led by a faculty member from the Applied Thai Medicine program at Walailak University.
